About the Role

As a Proximity Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of cross bore investigation and excavation projects. Combining GIS technology, field observations, inspection data, and analytical problem-solving, you will evaluate complex inspection results, assess remaining risk, verify work performed, and determine whether projects can be safely closed or require additional investigation. When standard inspection methods cannot fully resolve a location, you will identify the most appropriate path forward, helping ensure public safety while keeping projects moving efficiently.

This is a hybrid role that balances office-based analysis with regular field visits. Success requires strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to synthesize mapping data, inspection results, GPS information, and field conditions to identify process improvements. You'll collaborate closely with field crews and leadership while serving as a trusted technical resource throughout the investigation and project closeout process. Reporting directly to the Field Operations Manager, you will help ensure every project is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
