Provisional Psychologist
About the role
We are seeking provisional psychologists with a 5+1 internship for a pathway to general registration through direct client work and opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities
- Provide psycho-social wellbeing assessments and develop subsequent treatment pathways in collaboration with clients.
- Work effectively within the interdisciplinary team to ensure a timely and collaborative treatment approach.
- Provide direct trauma-informed counselling and psychological services as part of Harbour Therapy Clinic’s commitment to improving the mental and social wellbeing of children, young people, adults, and families.
- Work autonomously in their duties, under adequate supervision, and within professional practice and organisational guidelines.
Requirements
- Candidates must have previous experience working directly with clients in a therapeutic setting.
- Candidates are required to arrange their own external board-approved primary supervision.
- The clinic provides fortnightly group supervision with an onsite board-approved supervisor.
Qualifications
Appointments will be made subject to six months' probation, periodic performance reviews, and continued clearance from criminal history and working with children checks.
