About the Role

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System (TECPDS).

Responsibilities

  • Train and support child care providers in the effective use of TECPDS and related professional development tools.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate TECPDS trainings and informational sessions, both virtually and in person.
  • Maintain TECPDS expertise through ongoing training and certification, including recognition as a TECPDS Records Validator.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to child care programs and Texas Rising Star mentor staff.
  • Develop and distribute educational resources, training materials, and child care communications for providers.
  • Create and administer provider surveys and assessments, analyze results, and provide recommendations for program improvement.
  • Collaborate with community partners to coordinate large-scale events, workshops, presentations, and training opportunities.
  • Foster partnerships with local organizations to expand educational and professional development opportunities for child care providers.
  • Manage the creation and distribution of training certificates and maintain accurate records of provider participation.
  • Prepare reports and track program outcomes, including provider engagement and TECPDS support activities.
  • Communicate child care news, events, resources, and program updates through email, newsletters, and social media collaborations.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Promote inclusive, equitable, and respectful services for providers, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline operations, and enhance provider services.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with child care providers, community partners, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a collaborative team member and provide cross-functional support to ensure continuity of services and program success.

Qualifications

  • Related 4-year degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to use personal computer for correspondence, reports, database access, record keeping, and working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
  • Ability to interact with providers daily via face-to-face and/or phone.
  • Commitment to customer-focused service delivery system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in conjunction with others to overcome obstacles for goal attainment of the client.
