Mikros Technologies liquid cooling systems are deployed in large AI data centers and help to increase the energy efficiency of these sites. We also make active liquid cooling systems that are utilized in semiconductor test equipment for providing fast thermal control to maintain a constant temperature under a varying heat load. This role will sit in Claremont, NH. Relocation is available.
About the role
As a Prototype Test Engineer, you will develop procedures and equipment to ensure the quality of all production products and validate design goals. This is an electromechanical role requiring a fundamental understanding of cold plate function and operation to create effective test systems.
Responsibilities
- Review designs for testing requirements.
- Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, and reducing intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.
- Generate reports and analysis of test data.
- Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures from the product design phase through to initial production.
- Review test equipment designs, data, and RMA issues with customers regularly.
- Research and determine applicable testing standards.
- Design and direct engineering and technical personnel in the fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
- Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for test engineering and management personnel.
- Use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment; ability to program.
- Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering degree.
- 5 years of related experience, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of mechatronics and/or electromechanical systems.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Previous test experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of metrology of fluid systems is a plus.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages preferred.
