Prototype Engineer

For our client, a leader in the Enterprise Technology space, we are seeking a Prototype Engineer to join their team. This role leads work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will collaborate across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term technology capabilities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools to expose AI/ML capabilities for homebuilding
• Integrate research outputs into the company platform
• Build frameworks for rapid evaluation and iteration of prototypes
• Work across Python ML and TypeScript/React product layers using APIs
• Participate in customer sessions to validate prototypes and inform iterations
• Translate research insights into actionable development for product engineering
• Convert experimental models and pipelines into maintainable code

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Software Engineering, with 2+ years in ML/AI integration
• Proven experience shipping AI-powered features to real users
• Collaboration experience with research teams
• Professional skills in Python, TypeScript/React, API design, and AI calibration
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and modern frontend frameworks

Pay

$100,000 – $130,000 annually
