Prototype Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage prototype build schedules and daily activities of direct reports
• Ensure all prototypes are delivered correctly and on time
• Responsible for processes for all prototypes, documentation, prototype tooling, data
• Communicate with product engineers, manufacturing engineers, and coordinate with shipment
• Utilize innovative techniques for design and improving processes
• Participate in 5S and kaizen teams
• Improve changeover techniques, first part approvals, and work holding designs
• Reduce required operations
