Prototype & Samples Technician

Role Overview

As a Prototypes & Samples Technician, you will contribute to Johnson Matthey's mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare substrate for processing.
• Prepare and complete all order paperwork including data collection.
• Calculate coating solution compositions and adjustments.
• Prepare coating solutions and washcoat batches; PGM and non-PGM containing.
• Set-up and operate all processing equipment.
• Assist in equipment malfunction troubleshooting.
• Understand and apply customer requirements and specifications to orders.
• Maintain and assist in major inventory activities.
• Operate analytical equipment (Solids, x-ray, viscosity, pH, etc.).
• Stamp, label, and package finished product for release to Quality Control or shipment to the customer.
• Practice 5S and maintain good housekeeping principles.
• Apply TS16949 and ISO14001 principles from relevant training and procedures.
• Assist in troubleshooting process and problems with order completion.

Qualifications

• Post-high school training with 2-4 years production experience.
• A degree in chemistry or related science is desirable.
• Proficient in PC skills including MS Office is desirable.
