About the Role
Transforming mobility by creating world-class powertrain systems. As part of Magna Powertrain, a premier supplier for the global automotive industry, you will work in an engaging and dynamic environment focused on developing industry-leading automotive technologies. This role involves assisting with inspection projects at various program levels, evaluating components, and supporting multiple Magna facilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate component and assembly drawings and plan inspection procedures.
- Prepare documentation for recording inspection results.
- Program CMM (Zeiss Calypso), roundness gage, profilometer, contour reader, and other inspection equipment.
- Provide “first piece” inspection data for prototype machinists and technicians.
- Perform inspections of components and/or assemblies to ISO/ANSI standards.
- Assist and support additional Magna facilities as required.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration compliance.
- Adhere to Magna’s Charter, Constitution, Code of Conduct and Ethics, and related compliance policies.
- Support and adhere to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to the established quality management system (IATF 16949).
- Comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure duties are performed safely.
- Report unsafe conditions, injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, and property damage immediately.
- Follow safety rules, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Create a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
- Develop and maintain responsive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Comply with Magna’s information and data protection policies.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Print reading with GD&T understanding to ISO/ANSI Standards.
- Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design basics.
- Working knowledge of computer-based software.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
