About the role
This is much more than a traditional protocol or event coordination role. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior government leadership, playing a key role in planning and executing executive-level engagements that directly support national security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of executive-level visits and high-visibility events.
- Cook up protocol activities for senior government officials, foreign dignitaries, and VIP delegations.
- Develop detailed visit programs, run-of-show schedules, seating charts, agendas, and event logistics.
- Serve as the primary protocol liaison, coordinating venues, IT/AV support, visitor access, and escort procedures.
- Develop executive briefing books, read-ahead materials, talking points, presentations, and other strategic communications.
- Support strategic outreach initiatives and measure engagement effectiveness through reporting and analytics.
- Cook up visitor vetting, security clearances, and compliance with government protocols.
- Partner directly with senior government leadership to ensure seamless execution of mission-critical engagements.
- Maintain inspection-ready documentation and support protocol reporting for executive leadership.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph (required).
- 8+ years of experience supporting executive engagement, protocol, strategic communications, or outreach for senior U.S. Government officials, military leadership, or foreign dignitaries.
- Experience coordinating complex, high-visibility events within classified or secure environments.
- Strong executive communication skills, including preparing briefing materials, talking points, and official correspondence.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, International Relations, Public Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, DARTS, Service Central, or similar collaboration tools is a plus.
