Job Summary
Leidos has a new and exciting opportunity for a Protocol Analyst-3 in their National Security Sector's (NSS) Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). This role supports development operations in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Job Responsibilities/Qualifications
Mission Focus: Perform computer protocol analysis and session reassembly of known and unidentified protocols. Recognize the characteristics, functions and formats of different networks (e.g., Synchronous Optical, Wireless LANs, Closed).
Technical Proficiency: Disseminate results of signal analysis and provide data to customers and partners. Log signals-related information and update files on signal characteristics in relevant databases. Analyze new algorithms and protocols. Document analytic tradecraft and methodology. Interpret output of specialized tools and computer-based programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 4 years relevant experience.
A high school diploma or GED plus 12 years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, with completion of one of the following military training courses: 451 (Intermediate Signals Analysis) or 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis), or participation in or graduation from the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP).
Desirable Skills
Deep understanding of data link layer OSI model, network stack, and network architecture.
Packet Capture (PCAP) Analysis and use of Wireshark.
Experience with hybrid cloud architectures integrating private cloud resources and external services such as data management and O&M.
Experience using AMOD tools such as XKS.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
