Job Title: Protein Science Location: Alameda, CA Type: Contract Compensation: Up to $74 per hour pending overall experience Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0 ResponsibilitiesPurify recombinant antibodies, bispecific antibodies, and recombinant proteins using industry-standard practices to support discovery and pipeline effortsProficient in purification technologies such as ProA, CH1, and IEX to support antibody and protein purification using AKTA systems and HT processesProvide scientific input on protein/antibody production, purification, and characterization to support discovery and preclinical development of biotherapeutic candidatesAssess protein structure/function and quality to evaluate biologics for developability and scalable manufacturingEnsure compliance with health and safety policies and laboratory standardsSupport experimental design, data analysis, and result interpretation for protein and antibody projectsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in a related discipline with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 4-5 years, or PhD with 0-3 yearsProven track record in therapeutic monoclonal antibody purification using AKTA systemsExperience in various chromatography modes including affinity, size-exclusion, ion-exchange, and HICKnowledge in protein/antibody characterization and large-scale production processesAbility to analyze scientific data, prepare reports, and present findings effectivelyStrong laboratory skills and knowledge of safety proceduresStrong Plus: Experience with protein and antibody characterization, including SEC-HPLC Top Skills: 1. Experienced and knowledgeable with demonstrated proficiency and proven track record in therapeutic monoclonal antibody purification using AKTA and antibody characterization. 2. Strong AKTA experience 3. Experience purifying therapeutic monoclonal antibodies 4.
