Job Duties
Bristol-Myers Squibb Company is hiring a(n) Protein Analytics Scientist (in Brisbane, CA).
- Distinguish the primary, tertiary, and quaternary protein structure using a variety of characterization techniques such as mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, and other analytical techniques.
- Analyze complex mass spectroscopic data sets derived from chemical foot printing, post-translational modification, de novo sequencing, and proteomic experiments.
- Leverage expertise in protein characterization and mass spectroscopic expertise towards selection and optimization of therapeutic antibodies.
- Conduct epitope mapping and crosslinking studies to classify protein-protein interactions and binding interfaces.
- Design and execute mass spectrometry-based proteomics studies.
- Perform structural characterization of antibody and protein therapeutics to support the selection of lead candidate.
- Develop workflows to analyze and visualize complex proteomics datasets.
- Present data and analysis in written and oral form to project leaders and teams.
- Collaborate with cross functional groups including Biology, Protein Expression/Purification, and Protein Engineering.
Requirements
- Employer will accept a PhD degree or foreign equivalent degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical, Chemical Science, or a related field, and two (2) years of related work experience as a Biochemist and Biophysicist or related occupation.
- Must have Two (2) Years Of Experience With/in Characterizing protein structure including molecular weight, aggregation state, glycan structure, and post-translational modification;
- Protein and peptide mass spectrometry;
- Programming and developing computational algorithms and software for mass spectrometry data processing and visualization;
- Developing and running multiple types of protein characterization assays using cutting edge technologies such as LC-MS, SEC-MALS, glycan analysis, and capillary electrophoresis and hydrophobic interaction chromatography.

Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays
Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.
