Protection Officer - Evening shift

Shift: Evening - 3:00 pm – 1:30 am (4 (10) hour shifts)
Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Maryland
About the role
The Protection Officer is responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital and specifically their assigned post during their watch.
Responsibilities
- Be vigilant of suspicious activities and persons, taking appropriate actions to ensure the safety and security of the hospital.
- Write reports in a neat and legible manner.
- Perform daily patrols and functions without bias or discrimination.
- Be available to work all three shifts when needed, although usually assigned to one shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience as a security officer (4 years).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association preferred.
- One or more years of security experience preferred.
Pay
$19.02 - $26.67 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
