Prosthetist and/ or Orthotist Clinician (CPO, CO, CP, Board Eligible)

Our Patient Care segment operates the largest network of O&P patient care clinics in the country, while our Products & Services segment distributes branded and private label O&P devices, products, and components.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians in evaluating and recommending prosthetic and/or orthotic services.
- Evaluate patient needs and formulate design of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
- Select materials, make cast measurements, model modifications, and layouts, considering new techniques and materials.
- Perform fitting, including static and dynamic alignments.
- Instruct patients on the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
- Evaluate and address issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Provide follow-up with patients and physicians.
- Train physicians and allied health care professionals.
- Utilize effective materials management and quality processes to improve device quality and medical efficacy.
- Meet with physicians, case managers, and referral sources to discuss services and capabilities.
- Develop and enhance business relationships to secure ongoing and future referrals.
- Plan and implement strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Prepare detailed clinical notes for patient records.
- Mentor residents or newly certified clinicians.
- Assist other clinical staff.
- Provide information to administrative staff for reimbursement activities.
- Adhere to safety regulations and comply with Medicare and other governmental regulations.
- Perform on-call, hospital calls, or float between more than one Hanger Clinic location as needed.
Requirements
- Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC).
- A baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics, or the foreign equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license and driving record within Hanger’s standards.
- The ability to obtain and maintain state licensure if required.
- Experience in providing prosthetic and/or orthotic services under the supervision of a certified clinician (for candidates not certified or board-eligible).
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of biomechanics, pathomechanics, gait analysis, kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Knowledge of componentry and its suitability and reliability for specific uses.
- Effective communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized oral and written presentations and reports.
- Ability to assess patient condition and advise physicians on treatment options.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with physicians, therapists, and patients.
- Effective organizational, time management, and planning skills.
- Act with integrity, keeping the patient at the center of everything, and fostering open collaboration and constructive dialogue.

Benefits
Competitive compensation packages, including a salary range of $65,000.00 - $100,000.00, plus bonus and benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with Minnesota State Law. Pay
$65,000.00 - $100,000.00 salary range+ bonus + benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with Minnesota State Law. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location, and other variables.
