About the role

Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine (OSU-CVM), the only veterinary school in Oklahoma, is seeking a student-focused professional to join its Student Services team.

Responsibilities

• Responding to inquiries from prospective students
• Aiding in application-related communications and processing for the DVM program, including support for materials submitted through VMCAS
• Serving as a liaison for outreach efforts such as campus tours, prospective student events, and recruitment initiatives
• Collaborating with colleagues on the development and distribution of informational materials
• Providing administrative support for daily office operations
• Auxiliary in coordinating student employees
• Supporting college-wide events and programming

Requirements

• High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
• Two years of related work experience

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage sensitive information in accordance with FERPA and university policies

Skills, Proficiencies, And/or Knowledge

• Customer service oriented person with experience working in a fast-paced office setting
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with minimal oversight or supervision
• Able to manage under moderate levels of stress, imposed by frequent deadlines, peak workloads, and public/student contact
• Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Publisher, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, Banner, Slate or similar student information system
• Ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with administration, veterinary applicants and students, staff and veterinary professionals

Pay

$19.00 - $23.50 Hourly

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
