About The Team

The Stennis Test team designs, builds, and operates Relativity's propulsion and stage test stands. Team members are hands-on with large-scale, complex systems including fully integrated engines and stage assemblies, pushing hardware to the limits and directly contributing to flight readiness. The work is fast-paced and highly operational, ideal for those with backgrounds in aviation, automotive, manufacturing, offshore operations, industrial systems, construction, or adjacent industries. About The Role

As a Propulsion Test Technician IV, you will lead highly complex technical work supporting propulsion test facilities and engine testing operations. This role serves as a technical resource for challenging maintenance, troubleshooting, and system integration activities while supporting continuous improvement of test operations and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities involving propulsion test systems and facility infrastructure.
• Resolve complex system issues involving mechanical, fluid, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Coordinate technical execution of major facility modifications and test stand upgrades.
• Support planning, commissioning, and operational readiness of new test facilities.
• Develop and improve maintenance procedures, work instructions, and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support system improvements and failure investigations.
• Provide technical guidance for complex maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Recommend improvements that enhance safety, reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
• Support evaluation of equipment performance and implementation of corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Stoop, bend, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
• Work occasional night shifts and travel as required.

About You

Experience supporting complex propulsion testing, industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls, mechanical systems, or related technical operations.

Ability To

• Lead complex troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop or improve technical procedures and maintenance practices.
• Coordinate technical activities across multiple work groups.
• Communicate technical information with engineers, technicians, and operations personnel.

Mechanical Focus

• Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex propulsion fluid systems and mechanical equipment.

Instrumentation Focus

• Experience with installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, and control hardware.

Nice To Haves But Not Required

• Experience supporting new facility commissioning or major system integration projects.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives involving test operations.

Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Stennis, Mississippi.

Pay

Hiring Range $40.40—$55.55 USD
