Key Responsibilities
- Develop customer-specific technical and economic proposals using process simulation tools (ProMax preferred).
- Perform CAPEX, OPEX, and Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) evaluations.
- Prepare technical documentation and respond to clarifications during proposal evaluations.
- Improve internal tools, workflows, and assumptions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in developing FEL deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and preliminary cost and schedule estimates.
- Work with process, mechanical, and project engineering teams to ensure scope, schedule, and budget are met.
- Participate in identification of technical risks and development of mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Projects, Business Development, and Supply Chain teams to align technical solutions with commercial objectives.
- Apply industry best practices and lessons learned to continuously improve proposal and FEL development processes.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, with exposure to feasibility studies, FEL execution, or technical proposal development.
- Strong foundation in core engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer).
- Familiarity with process simulation and design tools such as ProMax (preferred), Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UNISIM.
- Experience producing engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and cost or schedule inputs.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Able to work effectively in the ambiguity typical of early-stage and first-of-a-kind projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in oil & gas, petrochemicals, industrial gases, hydrogen, or related energy industries.
- Proficiency with tools such as Visio and Bluebeam (or similar).
- Working knowledge of project management fundamentals, including scope definition, cost estimates, and schedules.
