Property Support Manager - Bilingual

About the Role

The Property Support Manager serves as the company’s representative across all areas of property operations. This versatile role requires a wide range of skills in property management, including assisting with new property transitions and providing operational support to communities to achieve property, owner, and company objectives—such as maximizing occupancy and income, growing property values, and minimizing expenses while maintaining quality. This role is adaptable, analytical, and designed as a steppingstone into leadership positions within the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and preparation for future property management opportunities, including reviewing property documentation and completing checklist items.
• Join Transition Teams to provide operational support during new property management transitions, covering functions such as sales tours, delinquent rent collections, onboarding, training, vendor setups, invoice management, and system setup.
• Fill in as acting Leasing Consultant, handling resident and prospect inquiries, tours, rental applications, and move-in scheduling.
• Fill in as acting Property Manager, including hiring, training, administrative tasks, reporting, and supervising on-site team members.
• Partner with Maintenance Supervisors to align maintenance activities with property goals.
• Work closely with Regional Managers to adapt to changing operational needs and assigned responsibilities.
• Collaborate with departments such as Accounting, IT, Marketing, and Learning & Development.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention by addressing concerns, questions, and requests promptly and professionally.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, prospects, clients, vendors, and team members.
• Attend and assist with resident activities and functions after hours as needed.
• Maintain professional vendor relationships.
• Shadow Regional Managers and Property Managers to develop leadership skills, including training, motivating, and holding team members accountable.
• Implement Improvement Plans for team members when necessary.
• Serve as the company’s representative in various capacities to drive and lead teams toward successful project execution.
• Assist in managing client/owner relationships by conducting property tours, providing performance updates, and responding to owner requests.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of financial reporting, including reading, interpreting, and updating budgets and financial statements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective verbal and written communication with residents, team members, vendors, and owners.
• Ability to de-escalate and respond sensitively to customer service concerns.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Developing leadership skills with a desire to learn and grow.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• YARDI® experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Landlord/Tenant laws, GAA and/or NAA Lease and Addendums, Federal/State/Local Fair Housing/ADA regulations, and OSHA & EPA requirements for property management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in property management or a related industry.
• College degree preferred but not required.
• ARM or CPM designation preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation to fulfill job functions.
