About the role
The Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of an assigned portfolio of residential rental properties. This role plays a key part in maintaining occupancy, supporting resident satisfaction, and ensuring operational consistency during a leave of absence.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned portfolio of residential properties, supporting occupancy, resident satisfaction, and overall performance
- Execute leasing activities including property tours, applications, lease preparation, and renewals
- Manage marketing efforts, listing updates, and lead tracking to support occupancy goals
- Sustain strong conversion practices from inquiry to lease
- Support resident retention through renewals and engagement
- Maintain accurate lease files, resident records, and property data
- Process applications, leases, and documentation in alignment with company standards and timelines
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with company policies
- Manage vacancy workflows, including move-ins, move-outs, and turnover coordination
- Cook up with internal teams to support timely unit readiness
- Provide responsive, professional communication to residents and property owners
- Address concerns and service requests with a solution-oriented approach
- Maintain consistent communication, documentation, and follow-up across all responsibilities
Requirements
- Experience in property management preferred
- Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Consistent follow-through and accountability in completing tasks and responsibilities
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and processes
- Ability to problem-solve and exercise sound judgment
- Service-oriented mindset with a focus on resident and owner experience
- Able to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (AppFolio preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to pass a background check
