About the role

Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, always ensuring high-level of service. Property Managers are also responsible for motivating high-performing teams to maximize the performance of the property.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the smooth running of our community in a fast-paced environment
  • Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
  • Providing superior customer service and communication to our residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability
  • Completing lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards
  • Tracking and evaluating advertising, and all client traffic
  • Developing, mentoring, leading, and managing a high-performing, cohesive team, including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel, in order to maximize their engagement and minimize turnover
  • Driving revenues with your thorough understanding and analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs
  • Leading by example
  • Instilling, maintaining, and modeling Cushman & Wakefield's mission to be the best national management company
  • Supervising day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed
  • Maintaining effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching team as necessary
  • Maintaining residents' files in accordance with company's standards
  • Maintaining a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up
  • Managing and maintaining all aspects of overall community budget and finances
  • Working with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met
  • Determining leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting, improving the performance of each staff member
  • Performing any other related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Property Management experience
  • 3+ years of Management experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Real Estate License preferred

Skills

  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills
  • General office, bookkeeping and sales skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a team

Pay

$73,100.00 - $86,000.00

Work environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regularly required to travel.

Physical demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time. They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time; regularly operate office machinery. The employee must be able to travel up to 15% of the time. Travel may vary in frequency and duration. The employee must demonstrate the ability to exert up to 25 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
