About the role

This position is in the FSIS Office of Management's Administrative Services Division (ASD), Property Management Branch (PMB). The Property Management Branch provides overall control, utilization, disposition, and management of FSIS personal property, both in headquarters and in the field for the Food Safety and Inspection Service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience as defined below.
  • GS-13
    • Specialized Experience: You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing duties which include:
    • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the acquisition, maintenance, utilization, disposition, accountability, or control of property or supplies.
    • Providing guidance and advising internal and external stakeholders to resolve investigations, accidents, or incidents that involve equipment or property.
    • Performing duties and tasks collecting information regarding stolen, damaged, or destroyed property.
    • Experience presenting, briefing, and training information to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.

How you will be evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above. Applications will be evaluated in accordance with Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) Delegated Examining Procedures and USDA policy using category rating. Applicants who meet basic minimum qualifications will be placed in one of two or three categories: Best Qualified, Well Qualified, or Qualified. Within these categories, applicants eligible for Veterans' Preference will receive selection priority over non-veterans. Required documents

  • Resume that includes: Personal Information, Education, Work Experience related to this position as described in the major duties including work schedule, hours worked per week, dates of employment; title, series, grade (if applicable); other qualifications.
  • If claiming Veterans' Preference, you must submit a DD-214, Certificate of Release from Active Duty, which shows dates of service and discharge under honorable conditions. If currently on active duty, you must submit a certification of expected discharge or release from active duty service under honorable conditions not later than 120 days after the date the certification is submitted.
