About the role
The Property Management Specialist oversees all AutoZone's real estate files at the Summer Avenue office and supervises the Document Management Team in identifying, classifying, and coding various commercial real estate document types.
Responsibilities
- Advises and coaches the team on identifying and preparing documents for scanning to an electronic repository.
- Manages day-to-day operations within the office, ensuring compliance with AutoZone's record and retention policy.
- Ensures the security of company real estate files by enforcing relevant policies and procedures.
- Supports other document management activities and Property Management functions as directed.
- Trains, coaches, and supervises the Document Management Team in various tasks such as identifying documents, assigning metadata, operating scanning machines, and supporting paper filing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate or Paralegal Studies, or equivalent years of experience.
- Prefer Juris Doctor degree, but a minimum of 5 years of experience in recognizing and reviewing commercial real estate documents is required.
- Familiarity with OCR/PDF functionality.
Qualifications
- Experience in recognizing and reviewing numerous types of commercial real estate documents (e.g., leases, purchase contracts, amendments, easements, restrictions, encroachments, title policies, warranty deeds and closing statements).
- Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to digital file management.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Skills
