Property Maintenance Technician
About the role
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of facility maintenance, renovation, and repair. This position serves on a maintenance on-call rotation assisting with after-hours maintenance emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Responds to all maintenance requests/calls within a reasonable timeframe.
- Identifies facilities deficiencies and recommends remedies.
- Participates in the after-hours on-call response rotation.
- Works mandatory overtime as needed.
- Provides escorts to contractors on-site.
- Affords assistance with room set-ups and furniture movement.
- Performs inspections and makes necessary repairs when units are vacated.
- Conducts daily general inspections of the assigned building(s) and reports findings to the Maintenance Manager.
- Performs preventative maintenance assignments on time.
- Sets requests for proper material/supplies to complete repairs.
- Consults with Maintenance Supervisor daily on the progress and impending issues.
- Displays knowledge, skills, and quality workmanship always.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2-3 years of general maintenance experience.
- Must be proficient with the use of hand and power tools.
- Must have troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication.
- Possess strong customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to serve on-call rotation response and be on on-site within 30 minutes response time.
- Ability to move and lift to 50lbs and navigate up and down stairs.

Pay
Hourly pay rate commensurate with experience.

The work environment is mid-to-high paced. The noise level is usually moderate.
