Essential Duties

  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Technical accounting research and transaction documentation.
  • Debt and Equity reconciliations.
  • Month-end close.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Daily bank reconciliations, and other duties as required.
  • Coordination, planning, and execution of external audits with independent auditors.
  • Partner with other departments to obtain necessary information and analysis to support reporting and auditing process.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for Queens Future LLC, and other related entities as required, in accordance with GAAP.
  • Analyze emerging accounting and disclosure standards in GAAP and present impact of such changes to Director of Construction Accounting.
  • Maintenance of the chart of accounts and the expense dictionary.
  • Maintain functions and processes in accordance with GAAP and internal control standards.
  • Analyze, investigate, and report data monthly, quarterly, and annually as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting.
  • 10+ years of accounting experience.
  • Accounting supervisory experience.
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred, with public accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Gaming, hospitality, or construction experience preferred.
  • Infinium and Workday reporting system knowledge preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong mathematical and financial report analysis skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills and must be detail oriented.
  • Able to react quickly and efficiently to high work volume.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and cost analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
