Essential Duties
- Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Technical accounting research and transaction documentation.
- Debt and Equity reconciliations.
- Month-end close.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Daily bank reconciliations, and other duties as required.
- Coordination, planning, and execution of external audits with independent auditors.
- Partner with other departments to obtain necessary information and analysis to support reporting and auditing process.
- Preparation of annual financial statements for Queens Future LLC, and other related entities as required, in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze emerging accounting and disclosure standards in GAAP and present impact of such changes to Director of Construction Accounting.
- Maintenance of the chart of accounts and the expense dictionary.
- Maintain functions and processes in accordance with GAAP and internal control standards.
- Analyze, investigate, and report data monthly, quarterly, and annually as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting.
- 10+ years of accounting experience.
- Accounting supervisory experience.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred, with public accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Gaming, hospitality, or construction experience preferred.
- Infinium and Workday reporting system knowledge preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong mathematical and financial report analysis skills.
- Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills and must be detail oriented.
- Able to react quickly and efficiently to high work volume.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and cost analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
