Key Responsibilities

  • Count cash drops and prepare daily deposits; post checks and cash payments as required.
  • Process hotel invoices promptly and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Monitor hotel expenses through the checkbook, procurement system, and budget controls.
  • Oversee revenue and payment postings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Generate and distribute invoices for direct bill accounts and follow up on collections.
  • Affiliate with month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
  • Analyze budget vs. actual performance and present findings during monthly meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with department managers and the corporate office regarding accounting-related matters.
  • Affiliate with preparation of the annual hotel budget.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience & Skills:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry required.
    • Experience with OPERA Cloud strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to evaluate and make decisions quickly and accurately.
    • Composure and objectivity under pressure.
    • Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Ability to interpret and analyze complex data and financial information.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, flexibility is required.
    • Employees may need to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
    • Attendance at all required training sessions and meetings is mandatory.

Additional Information

Notice Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As a part of the hospitality industry a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times. All employees are required to project a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude.
