Responsibilities
- Facilitating collaboration between multiple partnerships
- Collecting and analyzing underwriting and loss data
- Producing marketing materials for premium credit programs, bid documents, and other services/benefits offered
- Annually conducting the online renewal applications process
- Providing direction and oversight on the annual MOD rate and premium allocations
- Acting as a resource, fielding coverage questions, and providing consultation for members
- Acting as chief liaison with the insurance broker’s staff to coordinate and exchange information
- Making recommendations and presentations to the Trustees
Requirements
- Knowledge and skills in property/casualty and workers' compensation insurance, claims processes and underwriting
- State of Maine Property Casualty License
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent related experience
- 5 or more years of demonstrated experience in similar position with 2 or more years of management experience
- Knowledge of the basic principles and methods of insurance, risk management, safety, and public administration
- High intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to handle advanced arithmetical calculations
- Ability to conduct research, analyze, and interpret information
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and good public relations with other employees, agencies, members, and the public
