Propane Service Technician (CDL B)

Responsibilities

- Customer service and sales - Servicing, inspecting, and installing propane tanks, cylinders, and appliances at residential and commercial sites - Pumping out tanks, removing and relocating tanks, performing outside equipment inspections, routing, securing, and installing gas lines and piping, setting and installing tanks and meters - Assisting in the upkeep of company vehicles, tools, and plant

Requirements

- Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or ability to obtain) - Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report - Passed DOT physical and maintains a Federal DOT medical card - Accurately perform basic mathematical calculations - Read, write, and clearly communicate - Detail all service work performed in company work orders - Comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements - Operate and maintain handheld tablets - DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years - Knowledge of NPFA 54 related to gas piping and appliance installation including combustion air and flue gas venting requirements - Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements

Qualifications

- Physical demands: willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, lift up to 75 pounds, bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed, fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk
