About the Role
Deliver, install, service, and warranty repair customer propane equipment. Record transactions on customer deliveries and installs, assist in collecting accounts, handle complaints, and obtain customer signatures on receipt for pickup or delivery.
Responsibilities
- Install LP tanks, lines, regulators, and LP equipment according to code for customers.
- Test LP systems for leaks and deliver LP cylinders.
- Respond to and resolve service requests, leak reports, and complaints.
- Assist propane sales and delivery personnel as needed or as a relief delivery driver.
- Assist in collecting accounts and contracting of LP; handle complaints promptly.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by promoting good relations; assist in product selection and advise on the use and application of products sold.
- Complete and turn in daily sales reports and do inventory of LP products and equipment.
- Inform customers of new products or services and communicate sales leads to energy salesperson.
- Adhere to the uniform policy and maintain the appropriate professional image.
- Work additional hours to meet seasonal demands; allow for flexibility in work schedule to ensure order completion.
- Adhere to company environmental, health, and safety policies and complete required safety training.
- Support and contribute to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle according to company standards.
- Follow OSHA and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
- Technical degree or certification in commercial/industrial mechanics, electricity, and electronics or equivalent.
- 5+ years of service-related work experience demonstrating knowledge of commercial/industrial services and installations.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, blueprints, schematic drawings, and regulatory manuals.
- Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, snow, ice), noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
- May be required to work at varying heights.
- Ability to lift 51–70 lbs.
Qualifications
- Appropriate driver’s license, CDL with Hazmat, Tank, and air brakes endorsements.
- Must pass required CEPT schooling.
- Must be insurable to operate required vehicles.
- General knowledge of office computers and operating systems.
