What You’ll Be Working On
- Work with builders, developers, contractors and our internal sales group to promote the use of Sharp energy's bulk and tank applications.
- Cold Call and follow up on all Builder Development and Community Gas System Development.
- Develops and administers cold calling plans related to commercial and industrial customers, utilizes CRM platform or some degree of it.
- Timely implementation of contracted service agreements through initiation of workflow action and clear communication with appropriate Company personnel and departments.
- Accurately represent Company credibility to service accounts through effective communication skills used in relating accurate information on the economic status of the company and industry as well as the cost-effectiveness of gas use versus other fuels.
- Maintains relationships with commercial customers, reviews all individual customer contracts.
- Contributes to effort in increasing Company profitability through obtaining new commercial construction projects.
- Attends and represents the Company in associations and industry related events.
- Primary contact for larger Commercial and Industrial accounts.
- Must be able to effectively communicate the Company's services and offerings to the customers.
- Support the office staff by assisting in the completion of price, service, and contract scenarios.
- Develop and maintain knowledge pertinent to the application and installation of material, equipment and labor necessary to install gas fuel lines, gas service lines, propane tank installations, equipment and venting systems.
Who You Are
- A minimum of three years sales experience or related work experience in propane gas.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Driver's License.
- Propane experience preferred.
- Possess prospecting, sales, and closing skills.
- Show good communication, sales and negotiation skills.
- Show prospecting skills and ability to present in front of large groups.
- Be detail oriented and very organized with a high level of initiative.
- Have proficient computer skills (i.e. word processing and spreadsheet).
- Have strong time management skill, interpersonal and networking skills.
- Have excellent verbal, written skills and public speaking skills.
- Be able to negotiate contracts.
- Be willing to network outside of industry associations to drive pipeline and trade allies.
