Propane Delivery Driver (CDL B) - Hiring Bonus

$3,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible candidates.

About the role

Local route, home every night, Class B CDL position with a family-owned propane provider serving the Midwest. Deliver propane, tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first-in-class customer service. Additional duties include maintenance of company and customer equipment, and plant upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial customers.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment.
• Perform plant maintenance activities.
• Operate and maintain handheld tablets.
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Complete DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, pull delivery hose, and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, reaching, and rotating.
• Fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk propane.

Requirements

• Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or ability to obtain).
• Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card.
• Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English.
• Compliance with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Safety-conscious and customer service-oriented.
• No air brake restrictions on CDL.

Pay

$23.00–$27.00 per hour.

Sign-on Bonus

$3,000 total: $1,000 after 3 months of employment and achieving a minimum of a Class B License with Tanker and Hazardous Endorsements; additional $2,000 after 6 months of employment. Must be employed and in good standing at the time of payout to qualify.
