Propane Delivery Driver

About the role

This is a local route, home-every-night, temporary Class B CDL position. Primary responsibilities include delivering propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first-in-class customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites
• Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment
• Perform plant maintenance activities
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance
• Operate and maintain handheld tablets
• Fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk propane
• Comply with all DOT requirements, including Hazmat training and maintenance every three years

Requirements

• Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) without air brake restrictions
• Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card
• Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English
• Compliance with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Safety-conscious and customer-service oriented

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to pull delivery hose
• Ability to bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed
