Promotions Assistant

Audacy is seeking ambitious, energetic, and outgoing individuals to join the Promotions team in Norfolk, VA. This part-time, on-site role supports live events, on-air contests, and promotional activations. Ideal candidates are highly motivated, flexible, and available nights and weekends.

About the role

As a Promotions Assistant, you’ll help execute on-site activations, assist with event setup and teardown, manage audio/video equipment, and engage with clients and listeners. The role involves both in-office support (contest coordination, winner processing) and live event duties, requiring a mix of technical skills, creativity, and a "people-first" attitude.

Responsibilities

• Execute on-site promotional events and coordinate clients/listeners.
• Set up, break down, and transport event equipment.
• Operate audio/video equipment during events.
• Hang banners and staging elements.
• Record event content (photos, videos, audio) for social media and recaps.
• Complete winner release forms and waivers as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of promotional equipment and vehicles.
• Check email daily and attend mandatory meetings.
• Work weekends, holidays, and blackout dates (per Promotions Director).
• Be available for last-minute shifts, including Fridays–Sundays.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and team-player mindset.
• Ability to drive company vehicles to/from events.
• Ability to lift/carry equipment (up to 35 lbs).
• Professional appearance and punctuality.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license; motor vehicle record check and proof of insurance required if using personal vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Workspaces (Gmail, Drive, Calendar).
• Familiarity with promotions software (Vibes, Aptivada, PromoSuite).
• Prior experience working with the public.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands.
• Climbing stairs/ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
• Occasional lifting/moving up to 35 lbs.
• Close/distance vision, color perception, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Starting salary range: $15.00/hour. Final pay determined by education, experience, skills, and location.
