About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Promotional Marketing Specialist, based in Germantown (GTN), Maryland or remote, to play a pivotal role in driving growth and demand for the Life Sciences portfolio. This role focuses on developing and executing promotional activities each quarter to drive strategic revenue initiatives within the North America market. The Promotion and Pricing Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing promotional and pricing strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, competitive displacement, and revenue growth. This role owns the full lifecycle of promotional programs — from strategic concept and pricing structure through execution, measurement, and post-mortem analysis — ensuring promotions are commercially sound, competitively differentiated, and aligned with broader business and brand objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Promotional Strategy & Development
    • Develop and execute promotional activities through the region.
    • Design and develop promotional campaigns (discounts, bundles, giveaways, limited-time offers, loyalty incentives, etc.) aligned with quarterly and annual revenue goals.
    • Build a promotional calendar that balances always-on offers with high-impact seasonal, competitive, and launch-driven campaigns.
    • Translate business objectives (growth, retention, share gain, recovery) into specific, executable promotional mechanics.
  • Pricing for Promotions
    • Develop pricing structures and discount architecture for promotional offers, ensuring margin impact is modeled and approved before launch.
    • Conduct price elasticity and offer-value analysis to determine optimal discount depth, duration, and eligibility.
    • Partner with Finance/Revenue teams to forecast and track the P&L impact of promotional pricing decisions.
  • Execution & Operations
    • Own end-to-end execution of promotions: briefing creative/content teams, coordinating with eCommerce/POS/CRM teams on offer setup, and ensuring accurate, on-time launch.
    • Manage promo codes, redemption rules, eligibility logic, and expiration/governance to prevent abuse or margin leakage.
    • Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and Customer Service to ensure smooth rollout.
  • Analysis & Optimization
    • Track and report on promotional performance (redemption rates, incremental revenue, margin impact, customer acquisition cost, switch/win-back rates).
    • Run A/B tests on offer mechanics, pricing tiers, and messaging to continuously improve performance.
    • Deliver post-campaign analyses and recommendations to leadership, including lessons learned and next-best-action recommendations.
  • Regional and Global Collaboration
    • Provide feedback to global marketing and product teams on NA regional market dynamics, funding changes, macroeconomic, and microeconomic factors.
    • Ensure the voice and needs of the North America customer is incorporated into annual planning.
    • Provide commercial and marketing performance feedback to global colleagues.
    • Seek help, collaboration, and support from global marketing where needed.
  • Additional Qualities
    • Develop, communicate, and execute regional marketing plans in close cooperation with responsible stakeholders.
    • Demonstrate excellent data analysis skills with the ability to decide on marketing activities based on business insights.
    • Actively participate in the preparation of launches for new products and drive the success of product introductions in the field.
    • Ensure budget compliance and measure the return on investment of marketing activities.
    • Communicate, inspire, motivate, and inform colleagues in sales, service, and other teams to ensure clear direction with promotions.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, networks, and opinion leaders.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor situations and respond with appropriate marketing promotional activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in marketing with a focus on executing promotions to generate revenue and engage with customers.
  • Background in tactical marketing and working with a commercial organization to achieve regional budget targets.
  • Experience and knowledge of the life sciences and laboratory diagnostic testing within North America.
  • 2-4 years of experience in promotional marketing.
  • Experience with Agile marketing processes (ideal but not required).
  • Experience with sales platforms such as Seismic (ideal but not required).
  • Excellent presentation skills and training experience, with a proven ability to educate and engage diverse audiences both virtually and in-person.

Location: Germantown (GTN), Maryland or remote. Must be able to work in line with the Eastern Timezone.

Pay

The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a bonus plan and generous benefits.
