About the role
Sustain, improve, and develop processes in a volume manufacturing facility. Partner with Operations, Equipment Engineering Support, Integration, and R&D to deliver products on time to customer specification. Interface with global counterparts to benchmark and improve processes and procedures company-wide. Create and/or modify operations specifications.
Responsibilities
- Sustain and improve processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Monitor and control processes, troubleshoot yield problems, develop process enhancements, and implement new processes to address quality and bottleneck situations
- Install and qualify new tools and process technologies
- Support process and technology transfers
- Participate in troubleshooting taskforces and help develop solutions that prevent recurrence
- Work with and support the Integration team and Quality organization to ensure technologies meet all qualification and reliability requirements
- Apply lean manufacturing and six sigma processes
- Execute definable portions of a project or lead small projects
- Provide solutions to a variety of difficult problems using your knowledge
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities to meet business needs
- Work effectively within a global team or environment
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant engineering/physical science discipline
- 5 years of process engineering experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of process engineering
