About the role
The Project Engineer II plays a pivotal role in transforming manufacturing operations through innovative projects. They are responsible for executing new capital projects, managing projects from conception to completion, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Execute new capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Projects may involve equipment upgrades, machine/cell designs, and large-scale capital improvements.
- Prepare project scopes, identify necessary equipment for sourcing, oversee installations, and construct new projects. Develop equipment specifications, commissioning plans, and ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Participate in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Champion automation and support safety, environmental, and sustainability efforts. Troubleshoot equipment issues and develop lasting solutions.
- Manage multiple projects across various stages. Coordinate professional services, contractors, and construction resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Required
- 3-5 years of production and project-related experience with automated processes for discrete manufacturing, Required
Skills
- Excellent technical and engineering skills, including strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, and continuously improve processes.
- Self-starter with a hands-on approach to starting-up new equipment and training others.
- Desire to innovate and solve complex challenges.
