Job Summary

V3 Companies is seeking a Project Surveyor for a remote position in various locations including CO, FL, IN, MI, MO, NE, NC, OH, SC, TN, WI. The ideal candidate will contribute to significant projects that transform communities through detailed planning and design.

About the Role

As a Project Surveyor, you will be responsible for performing CAD tasks in the preparation of construction surveys, layout calculations, ALTA, boundary, topographic, and specialized surveys. You will also prepare and coordinate construction layout calculations for field staff, manage CAD generated surface models, and produce accurate contour, cross section, and profile drawings. Additionally, you will perform project research and set up work orders for field staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CAD tasks in the preparation of construction surveys, layout calculations, ALTA, boundary, topographic, and specialized surveys.
  • Prepare and coordinate construction layout calculations for field staff.
  • Manage CAD generated surface models and produce accurate contours, cross sections and profile drawings.
  • Perform project research and set up work orders for field staff.
  • Communicate with clients, accommodate client work requests, and create work order instructions for field staff.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Ability to competently read civil, architectural, and structural drawings, including complex details, and successfully interpret for construction layout.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Work independently with little instruction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience performing similar work.
  • A degree or courses in related area is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.

  • Communicate with clients, accommodate client work requests, and create work order instructions for field staff.
