About the role
V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, seeks a Project Surveyor in its Denver, CO office. This position involves contributing to significant projects that transform communities and landscapes, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals, and performing a range of surveying tasks.
Responsibilities
- Understands and responds to client needs while providing quality consulting services.
- Assists in creating property boundaries for various projects.
- Collects and processes 3-dimensional field data.
- Prepares survey documents and computations for different types of surveys.
- Performs project research and reviews survey field notes.
- Prepares survey drawings and descriptions using AutoCAD and related software.
- Provides construction-related services such as interpreting construction plans, computing point data, and communicating with clients.
- Reviews reference materials, location-specific statutes, and collaborates with other survey staff.
- Applies and maintains current understanding of surveying procedures and regulations.
- Maintains a safe work environment and complies with all safety regulations.
- Travels for short periods to market V3's capabilities and establish new clients.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of land surveying.
- A high degree of understanding of surveying principles and practices.
- Proficiency in mathematics and measurements.
- A solid understanding of easements and related research.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- The ability to read and understand boundary and topography plans.
- An understanding of project schedules and budgets.
- Effective communication skills within the team and with other disciplines.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- A disciplined, thoughtful approach to work.
- A positive and professional demeanor.
- The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Qualifications
- High school or technical school training with courses in surveying technology, or equivalent experience.
- LSIT or CSIT preferred.
- A current driver license in good standing.
- Three to five years of relevant survey experience.

- Understanding of easements and related research.
