Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and review activities and deliverables of field and office staff assigned to land surveying projects.
- Collaborate closely with engineering staff and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide guidance and direction to Survey Technicians and Surveyors in Training.
- Manage and schedule individual projects to ensure timely completion.
- Perform calculations and prepare field packages as required.
- Process acquired field data into neat and accurate plats of survey and/or Metes and Bounds descriptions.
- Perform quality control reviews of drawings and legal descriptions prepared by others.
- Resolve boundaries of properties and oversee boundary construction and related issues.
- Sign and seal completed drawings, legal descriptions, and surveyor’s reports.
Qualifications
- Licensed as a Professional Surveyor in the state of employment.
- 0-4 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Surveyor.
- Experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys for design, and construction staking.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage project budgets and invoicing.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of employees and clients.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Dependable and reliable with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Able to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed.
