About the role

As Project Superintendent, you’ll play a key role in the successful day-to-day management and supervision of a project, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. You will act as the primary on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain a 4-6 week look ahead schedule.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, material deliveries, and equipment to optimize project workflow and minimize delays.
  • Monitor progress and prepare daily reports on work performed, site conditions, and any issues affecting the schedule or quality.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Perform regular safety audits as outlined by McShane Construction.
  • Communicate effectively with General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors to resolve issues and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Manage on-site personnel, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance.
  • Review and interpret drawings and project documentation to guide construction activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and adheres to applicable codes and regulations.
  • Facilitate project meetings and participate in progress reviews with clients.
  • Identify and address project risks, proposing solutions to keep the project on track.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in Construction Management
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, design consultants, and trade partners
  • Fully proficient with construction management software including Salus, PlanGrid, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Full understanding and ability to schedule projects in MS Project/Primavera P6

Pay

$120,000–140,000 per year (good faith estimate based on available market data). Final offers depend on experience, skills, and qualifications. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, cell phone allowance, and all company-sponsored employee benefits.
