Job Summary
About the role
Maxwell is seeking Superintendents to oversee and coordinate all activities at construction sites, adhering to project blueprints and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of workers, including scheduling, project progress, and resource allocation.
- Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
- Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management to determine budgets and timelines.
- Cookordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
- Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
- Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
- Maintain a daily log for job site operations, reporting to management as necessary.
- Make changes to operations as needed to meet construction deadlines.
- Implement cost-effective and efficient management techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of field experience in the commercial construction industry.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage and direct on-site project teams.
Physical Demands
- Able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, walk, and work at heights for extended periods.
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
- Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects while carrying tools and equipment.
- Vision - ability to see details at close range and details at a distance (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors.
- Environmental conditions - may work outside and exposed to weather, wear protective/safety equipment, and be exposed to high levels of noise, grease, dust, and substances typically associated with a construction site.
