About Hansen Hansen Construction has built high-end residential and commercial projects in Aspen for 47 years. We are a company of about 70 people, and several have been with us for decades. We staff every project so our Superintendents have the time and support to do their best work. It is important to us that Project Managers and Superintendents work as partners, with neither reporting to the other, so field leaders have a real say in how the work is planned and built. Our core values are excellence, positivity, passion, professionalism and integrity. On site, they start with the Superintendent, who sets the tone for the crew and every trade on the job. About The Job The Superintendent leads all on-site work on a Hansen project, from preconstruction and layout through closeout and handoff to our HomeCare department. The role carries primary responsibility for schedule, quality and safety, and works closely with the Project Manager, Layout Foreman, Safety Director and our BIM expert. Our projects are built to tight tolerances, and the Superintendent ensures the project is delivered with the highest standard of quality while fostering collaboration, solving challenges in real time, and exceeding client expectations. Work with the Layout Foreman, surveyors and engineers on foundation and framing layout, stairs, windows, doors and casework. Subcontractors and cost. Supervise subcontractors daily, clarify scopes and finish expectations, and work with the Project Manager on change orders, labor and material costs, and manpower projections. Meetings and inspections. Prepare for and lead weekly OAC and subcontractor coordination meetings, schedule inspections, and walk the work with inspectors. Safety and the site. Keep a safe, clean, organized and secure job site in partnership with the Safety Director and maintain good relations with neighbors. Crew leadership. Supervise and mentor the site crew, hold quarterly Field Check-Ins for feedback and career development, and take part in annual reviews. Closeout.
