Project Structural Engineer, Buildings

About the role

TYLin's Buildings team brings creativity and technical excellence to new and existing buildings around the world. Our primary services include structural engineering for buildings, encompassing new construction projects, renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. We also offer specialized expertise in architectural services, code consulting, façade engineering, lightweight structures, and construction support services.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Coordinating with staff and clients on projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering. A Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• 3-6 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required.
• Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g., RISA, SAP, RAM).
• Working knowledge of REVIT.

Qualifications

• P.E. license preferred; S.E. license would be considered an asset.

Pay

The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually, with adjustments based on local market conditions. We recognize that each candidate brings unique skills, experience, education, and competencies, which will be reflected in our offer.
