Project SEARCH

About the Program

Project SEARCH is a one-school-year Transition-to-Work Program led by a business and conducted entirely at the workplace. Students participate in classroom learning, career exploration, and hands-on internships across various departments of the job site. The program culminates in personalized job placement support for each student.

Eligibility

This program is designed for high school seniors and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Students and parents interested in an Alaska Project SEARCH site for the student’s final year of high school are encouraged to discuss this interest with their teacher.
