Project Scheduler
About the role
The Korte Company is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will work as a lead on commercial construction projects, performing scheduling responsibilities and improving the efficient planning and scheduling of projects.
Responsibilities
- Produce preconstruction and proposal schedules
- Facilitate project team planning sessions
- Develop detailed schedules with the project team and trade partners
- Monitor projects in accordance to set schedules based on departmental procedures
- Develop internal and external reports describing project status
- Support ongoing projects by working with the project manager and discipline leads on project status, identifying opportunities for improvement, delays and areas where additional concentration is required
- Perform other duties as requested by project management
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Primavera P6 database management and maintenance
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project scheduling software
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional in actions and appearance
- Effective interactions with customers, subcontractors, employees and assistants
- Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry
- 3-5 years of Primavera P6 experience is required
- Past experience in project organization and scheduling while remaining within budget
- Education: Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture or Civil Engineering
- Advanced certification in Primavera P6 required
Skills
- Planning and scheduling techniques and methods
- Cost techniques and methods based on level of experience
- Analytics to identify and report on project trends
- Effectively cost and manpower load schedules for use during the execution of the project
- Time Impact Analysis per recommended practices by commonly accepted standards
