About the role
The Project Scheduler will oversee and coordinate the planning, design, and construction of electrical infrastructure projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities. This role involves working closely with clients and internal management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining, and driving engineering and construction schedules for various sized transmission & distribution projects
- Using earned value management techniques to align schedule and costs, including developing recovery plans
- Tracking and executing client deliverables with Engineering Leads and Managers
- Producing weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review, including resource loading analysis and schedules, critical path items, and risk analysis
- Interfacing with clients and internal management to report progress, schedule, and risks across a portfolio of electrical distribution projects
- Aiding the project manager in creating and maintaining comprehensive project dashboard reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tracking
Requirements
- Completed Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3 + years of relevant scheduling experience (Primavera P6 preferred)
- OR Completed Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant scheduling experience
- Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree(s)
- Capability for planning, organizing, directing, and tracking technical efforts on assigned tasks
- Ability to track cost and schedule status of assigned tasks
- Effective interaction with customer representatives
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- PMP Certification is preferred but not required
- Experience in a consulting environment
- Experience in electric power infrastructure projects within transmission or distribution design
