About the role

The Project Scheduler will oversee and coordinate the planning, design, and construction of electrical infrastructure projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities. This role involves working closely with clients and internal management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, maintaining, and driving engineering and construction schedules for various sized transmission & distribution projects
  • Using earned value management techniques to align schedule and costs, including developing recovery plans
  • Tracking and executing client deliverables with Engineering Leads and Managers
  • Producing weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review, including resource loading analysis and schedules, critical path items, and risk analysis
  • Interfacing with clients and internal management to report progress, schedule, and risks across a portfolio of electrical distribution projects
  • Aiding the project manager in creating and maintaining comprehensive project dashboard reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tracking

Requirements

  • Completed Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3 + years of relevant scheduling experience (Primavera P6 preferred)
  • OR Completed Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant scheduling experience
  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree(s)
  • Capability for planning, organizing, directing, and tracking technical efforts on assigned tasks
  • Ability to track cost and schedule status of assigned tasks
  • Effective interaction with customer representatives
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • PMP Certification is preferred but not required
  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Experience in electric power infrastructure projects within transmission or distribution design

Qualifications
