Project Scheduler
About the role
The Project Scheduler is responsible for managing scheduling activities across assigned projects. This role ensures that all schedules are accurate, fully integrated, and compliant with both contractual requirements and company standards, supporting timely and efficient project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Proactively communicate bottlenecks and potential risks to project teams.
- Balance input from multiple stakeholders while maintaining logic integrity.
- Communicate schedule status and analysis findings clearly to the project team and support corrective decision-making.
- Identify recurring inefficiencies in reporting, updates, or coordination.
- Apply an understanding of construction methods, trade sequencing, and project delivery approaches to improve schedule realism.
- Demonstrate commitment to maintaining a high-quality schedule as a reliable management tool.
- Customize reporting structures to meet different clients and stakeholder priorities.
- Work with the project team to update and resequence activities as directed to support mitigation plans and safety risks.
- Prepare clear, concise schedule documentation, including milestone charts, phase maps, and summary logic diagrams, that help project teams understand sequence and critical path.
- Develop complete, logic-driven project schedules that reflect the planned sequence of work.
- Train others in applying improved scheduling practices and digital workflows.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Clune's project scheduling software, including schedule creation and development.
- Properly identify critical and near-critical activities, slippage trends, and potential risks.
- Engage effectively with project management, field teams, and trade partners to confirm sequencing and durations.
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
- Suggest practical adjustments to improve workflow or clarity of outputs.
- Be familiar with local relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, and field operations.
- Display problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
- Apply analytical thinking to evaluate schedule delays and potential recovery options.
- Tailor visual materials to the intended audience.
- Communicate effectively to ensure alignment with field operations.
- Actively contribute to peer learning by sharing process improvements and lessons learned.
- Actively participate in emerging software trials and training sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering is preferred, but strong work experience will be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience with 2-3 years scheduling experience.
- Solid background in construction trades and technical knowledge.
- Proficiency with scheduling software including P6, Microsoft Project (Microsoft Office Products), and/or Phoenix PM.
- Exposure to BIM/VDC teams on 4D and 5D schedules is a plus.
Qualifications
- Regular workdays and hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30AM - 4:30PM.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders and walk on uneven ground.

Pay
The salary range listed reflects a broad scope of potential earnings for this position. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Please note that it is not common for candidates to be hired at the top of the range. We encourage open communication about compensation expectations during the hiring process.
