About the role
The Project Scheduler & Controller role at Leidos Engineering supports a large electric utility client in the Pacific Northwestern US. This is an in-office position based out of either Portland, Bend or Medford, OR, depending on the location of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining and driving engineering and construction schedules for various projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utility client
- Working with Project Management using earned value management techniques to ensure that schedule and costs are aligned, including the development of recovery plans, to stay within approved limits
- Closely partnering with Project Management, Engineering Leads, Managers, Construction teams, and other client stakeholders to track and execute client deliverables
- Producing schedule weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review, including resource loading analysis and schedules, critical path items and risk analysis
- Interfacing directly with the client on a daily basis to report progress, schedule and risks across a portfolio of electric utility projects
- Supporting project teams with material tracking
Requirements
- Mid-Level: 4-7 years of relevant project scheduling experience
- Senior-Level: 7-10 years of relevant project scheduling experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a closely related discipline is required
- Demonstrated experience working with scheduling software such as Primavera P6
- Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on project tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
Qualifications
- Familiarity with electric power infrastructure projects and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services
- Experience working with US electric utilities
- Demonstrated success with a team approach to the consulting business
Skills
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6
- Strong project management and earned value management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities

Pay
Pay Range: $82,550.00 - $149,225.00 (Pay ranges will be commensurate with candidate experience)
