Project Safety Advisor

Project Scope and Responsibilities

• Support the Valley North Transmission Line Project
• Develop and implement contractor safety management programs
• Conduct quality safety observations and document findings with a focus on leading indicators
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
• Lead safety initiatives for grid enhancement projects
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
• Represent the utility client in meetings
• Prepare clear and concise reports
• Drive safety culture among field crews
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

• A professional safety certification from an industry-recognized safety organization, OR a college degree in a safety-related field and at least two (2) years of demonstrable safety management-related experience
• OR at least five (5) years of increasing responsibility in professional, technical, safety management, and/or electric utility operations experience
• Ability to work outdoors in all reasonable conditions
• Proficiency with email correspondence, electronic document development, and creating safety-related communications
• Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in transmission & distribution, construction
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations at all levels of government, including federal, state, and local
