About the role
12+ month contract with possibilities of extension and full-time employment. 100% onsite in Florence, SC (29501).
The main function of a program manager is to oversee and coordinate multiple related projects within an organization to ensure they align with the company’s strategic goals and deliver beneficial changes. A typical program manager is responsible for managing the program’s budget, timeline, resources, staff, and delivering expected business value and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement program strategies, objectives, and metrics to achieve business goals.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and integration of multiple projects within the program.
- Coordinate cross-project activities and facilitate collaboration across functional teams.
- Manage and allocate program resources and budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Identify, monitor, and manage program risks and issues, developing contingency plans when needed.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and align expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- PMP or PMI certification.
- 3–5 years of experience.
- Engineering degree.
- Experience in leading a team of multiple functional areas (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.).
- Experience in managing product development projects, covering all phases from requirements definition, design & test, industrialization, and delivery.
- Proficiency with PM tools such as MS Project.
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience in a large commercial product.
Skills
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking with proven project/program management abilities.
- Proficiency in program and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
- Extensive familiarity with management and implementation of business strategy within a program’s framework.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage complex portfolios and navigate organizational change effectively.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards pertinent to the program’s scope.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM with flexibility of one hour before or after.
