Project Professional - Water Resources

What You Bring To The Team
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Ecology, Geology, Environmental Technology, Environmental Science / Health, Natural Resources, or related degree, from a 4-year accredited college or university.
- Professional Engineer’s registration is a plus.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Water Quality/Resource management, including:
- Working knowledge of Clean Water Act (CWA) and associated programs (NPDES, permitting & compliance, etc.)
- Understanding of state environmental regulations (MI, OH)
- Emergency response planning (SPCC, FRP, SWPPP, PIP, OPA90)
- Sediment cleanup and benthic studies
- Stormwater management design and permitting
- Water-use assessments and permitting
- Demonstrated familiarity with advanced investigative and sampling techniques
- Experience completing hydraulics and/or hydrologic modeling
- Experience with CWA compliance matters related to industrial and utility facilities
- Ability to organize technical material into comprehensive reports as well as perform QA/QC reviews on work product
- Accuracy, dependability, time management and strong organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, be able to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrate collaborative approach to problem-solving, and have ability to interact with clients to understand their needs
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at job sites/offices in Michigan. May be required to perform job duties in the field and office, during non-standard work hours, as necessary
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
How You Will Make An Impact
Develop and prepare proposals for environmental services, including:
- Defining scope of field and laboratory investigations
- Preparing cost estimates and project schedules
- Preparing, delivering and discussing proposal documents with clients
- Designing remediation strategies and programs
- Cooking subcontractor/subconsultant efforts and services
- Developing and presenting project specific or technical presentations to clients or technical organizations and in-house staff
- Communicating with clients and representatives of regulatory agencies to coordinate regulatory approvals
- Conducting periodic site / client visits and project meetings
